Pryme Group Strengthens GA Engineering Team with Key Appointments

Pryme Group are delighted to share several key changes within the management structure of GA Engineering, their specialist machining and manufacturing business.

Kerry Devlin, Operations Director for GA Sliding Head in Dundee has been promoted to Managing Director of GA Engineering, succeeding John Friel who retires at the end of May and will oversee the day-to-day operations of all three manufacturing sites. Having worked as Global Lean Leader for a US based manufacturing company prior to joining Pryme Group in 2021, Kerry brings a wealth of experience in machine shop management and will work strategically to improve the efficiency and output of the GA Engineering business.

In addition to Kerry’s promotion, Pryme Group have made several further changes to the management structure within GA Engineering. Whilst Kerry will oversee the management of the whole GA Engineering business, each site will continue to have its own management team, a summary of key changes follows:

  • Paul Brady, Operations Director of Pryme Newcastle, will take over the day-to-day running and management of GA Engineering’s machining facility in Morecambe when John Friel retires at the end of May.
  • Colin Maxwell has been appointed Operations Director of GA Engineering’s machining facility in Dundee and brings an impressive track record in change management practices to the role, he will work with the team to implement new work processes to improve the efficiency of the site.
  • Scott Pearson, Process Engineer for the Sliding Head facility has been promoted to Operations Manager. Scott has been with the business since he started as an apprentice 16 years ago and has a solid understanding of the business, under Kerry’s mentorship Scott will take over day-to-day operations.

Paul, Colin and Scott will work closely with Kerry to integrate the 3 businesses to offer a more streamlined machining service to the Group’s growing customer base.
